While the love of money is the root of
all kinds of evil (1 Timothy 6:10), handling money properly with the
right intentions will make you a good steward of God’s provisions and
blessings, (Peter 4:10).
So, how could this be possible? Take these 3 tips to be financially empowered.
- Knowledge is power
Financial literacy will give you a wider perspective in saving, investing, pursuing financial goals, and avoiding debts.
Grab the opportunity
to participate in financial literacy campaigns, seminars, and workshops
that are conducted by your local bank, insurance company, or other
private organizations that you know of.
- Borrow for investment not luxury
Borrowing money or
getting a loan is not at all a bad decision especially if you would use
it to start a business or invest into something productive. Be very wise
in considering this option. Borrow money only to invest and not to
get a lifestyle you cannot really afford.
- Be organized
It’s almost the same
as decluttering your house or your closet. Keep your finances on track.
Know your income before spending. In this way, you will be trained to
decide which expenses are important and which are not. Remove the
clutter on your list and focus on those that really matter.
